The two photos are of the 'bonsaid' yew tree which I transplanted on Friday, and mentioned in Friday's blog entry. The tree is about 9 inches high and about a foot across the foliage.
Must admit I admire your arrangement of mini-boulders beneath the tree as much as your art in controlling the growth of the tree. I wish you a life long enough to cut a longbow out of that yew.
Yes, quite agree Pat. It's what I like about bonsai'd trees. The native ones live outside most of the time, but they can be brought indoors for a day or two, and always look well there.
Love to you two too. Do you get to cut that longbow eventually, I hope to stand with an apple on my head as your target... (behind a brick wall with only the apple showing of course). But I expect we'll both be preoccupied with the daisy roots long before then! ....Unless you force the bonsai Yew like rhubarb, in which case all bets are off.
