Thursday.

Lovely mild sunny day today. Temperature in the garden 55 degrees, so we decided to have our mid morning coffee outside. This was so pleasant that at lunchtime (sandwiches, fruit, and redbush tea) we did the same again. Temperature was up a degree or so, and it was very nice indeed to be sitting in a sheltered spot in the sunshine. Above, by the way are dusky pink hellebore, and remembering the shape of the wild rose (or dog rose) it's easy to see why they used to be called Christmas roses.

Below, after our morning coffee, Ann reading the daily paper in the garden.

Consider yourselves invited. But, as I've said before, Lori, there are no guarantees on English weather. This evening there was a glorious red sunset and "Red sky at night............", but on the other hand the weather bloke on the B.B.C. forecast a rainy weekend. Ah well, time will tell.

That's a super photo of Annie... You can see from whence Ruthie gets her good-looks!
