Tuesday.

As you can see from the above snapshot of Ann scraping ice from the windscreen of her car, we awoke to the first real frost of the winter this morning. By the time we drove into Sudbury to do a bit of shopping the frost had all gone, and it was a lovely day. Been a very busy one though, and we are now off to have supper with our friends Sue and David, taking our house guest Liz (a mutual friend) with us. More tomorrow perhaps.

I was sent into the cold frosty morning by Carol to clear the car windscreen.

I told her she was being cruel as I like being warm.

She told me to 'stop being a wuss'

I have no idea what a 'wuss' is but she's probably right..;-)

...she usually is!

Hi, 4Ds. When my grandchildren apply the term 'wussy' to me, it seems to mean the equivalent of being a cowardy custard, or feak and weeble. They usually apply it when I try and explain that I am far too old to be expected to do something they wish me to do. They are usually right in that I know quite well that I can do it. Sometimes, conversely, when I wish to try something out that they are not too sure about, or have been told not to try, themselves - such as riding one of their scooters down a steep slope, they rush off and tell their mother, or (even worse) their Granny - the little blabcakes!!! By the time Granny arrives, I will have completed the deed, and will then be in a position to call them week kneed little wussies. I'm sure you get the idea about the word - not that it matters - if you use the correct tone of voice, the meaning of the word is usually expressed well enough.

Hi Lori. I've just been looking at your blog and I have to admit that your snow beats our frost hands down.
Cheers, Mike.
