Sunday 5.

Took this coming home on Friday morning. We didn't drive straight back to Suffolk, but did a dog leg via the south midlands to call in and see Sarah, Mikey, and the children. Sarah, Amelia, and Lucy have all had this swine 'flu, but all three are now fully recovered (except that Sarah has had laringytis which has left her, temporarily we hope, with a bass voice deeper than mine. She is well and cheerful, though). Should add that the detour enabled us to call at a couple of antique shops on route, where we bought well. This, added to a visit to Honiton during the week, where we also bought, should make a worthwhile holiday of it, as well as a very enjoyable one. At Sarah's insistence had early supper with them, left at 7 p.m., and got home about 9 p.m.
Been a good, typical, weekend since then. Had the kitchen repainted whilst we were away, so spent yesterday, putting stuff back into the kitchen and playing scrabble (at scrabble club) - won two of the three games. Ann went to a committee meeting (with shared lunch) of the Parochial Church Council. Today to morning service and sang in choir - Ann serving. Since then been pottering in undercroft and workshop - with a short break for an afternoon nap (nasty middle aged habit !!!). More later perhaps - blog not nap.
Regards, Mike.
